Overview
We aim to collect as little data as possible. General page requests are counted without cookies. Unique visitor measurement on our server requires your analytics consent.
Information we collect
Accounts include your username, email and account preferences. Your forum posts and published contributions are public. Your name, email and IP address are not used for unique visitor measurement.
General server analytics store aggregate information: the page visited, a traffic source category and the referring domain. These general records do not contain an IP address or visitor identifier. With consent, a randomly generated browser cookie (ailab_visitor) distinguishes return visits. The server stores a keyed digest of that value, page path, time and traffic source. IP addresses and browser fingerprints are not stored in this measurement table. These records are pseudonymous. The cookie lasts 180 days. Visit records older than 180 days are deleted by daily cleanup.
Cookies and local storage
Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Account features require these cookies. Your theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage.
Analytics cookies are enabled only when you select Accept. With consent, the ailab_visitor cookie measures unique visits and Google Analytics may run if configured. Declining keeps these analytics features disabled.
Manage consent
Accept or decline analytics in the cookie banner. You can change your choice using the button below. Declining removes the unique visitor cookie and stops new unique visit records; previously collected records remain until their retention period expires. You can also clear cookies in your browser.
Third parties
Google Analytics (Google LLC) may be used with your consent. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties for advertising.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to its processing. Contact us about account data and privacy requests.
